Foreign Diplomatic Missions in TRNC

At the present time, only Turkey maintains a formal embassy in the TRNC. The British High Commissioner to Cyprus and the United States Ambassador to Cyprus have residences in the capital Nicosia. Besides, Australia and Germany maintain unofficially their offices on the territory of Turkish Cyprus.

The EU has recently reported that it is considering opening a representative office in Northern Cyprus. Azerbaijan and the Gambia have also announced their willingness to eventually formally recognize the TRNC.
